Live entertainment platform Fever raises $227 million

Live entertainment discovery platform Fever has raised $227 million in a funding round that values ​​the company at more than $1 billion.

Led by Goldman Sachs, the round would be the biggest ever for a live entertainment tech startup and has attracted investors including Alignment Growth, Goodwater Capital and Smash Capital. Eurazeo and Vitruvian Partners also participated via a secondary investment for an undisclosed amount.

Based in Madrid, Spain and New York, USA, Fever is run by Spaniards Ignacio Bachiller Ströhlein, Alexandre Perez Casares and Francisco Hein. The platform makes personalized recommendations for users to enjoy unique local in-person experiences, such as immersive exhibits, interactive theater experiences, and festivals. It also collaborates with event organizers to create new attractions through its Fever Originals series.

Fever, whose largest market is the United States, has increased its revenue 10-fold since its last funding round in 2019 and expanded its international presence from three cities five years ago to more than 60 cities in Europe, in America, Asia and Oceania.
